- Weight
- Take
out of the car anything you don't need especially
if its heavy, like roof boxes and roof
racks.
- Speed

Reduce your speed to at least the speed limit
and use the Cruise Control if available.
- Anticipation

Avoid harsh use of the brake and accelerator
by looking further ahead, where safe try
to keep the car moving and change up before
3,000 rpm.
- Start
/ Stop

Drive off as soon as you start and switch off
as soon as you stop. If you are stuck in traffic
then switch off.
- Tyres

Check the pressures at least once a month.
- Maintenance
- Regular
servicing will also ensure you emit less carbon
dioxide.
- Pay
less

Use a price check service like www.petrolprices.com and
loyalty / cashback promotions.
- Intelligent
travel

Do you need to travel, share a car, avoid travelling
at busy times, plan your route and allow more
time so you don't need to rush.
Include all
of the above and you can save 30% on your fuel costs
and emit less carbon dioxide, create less noise
and less wear and tear on the car.
